The Spartans are delighted to announce the signing of Ricardo Dinanga who joins us on loan from EFL League 2 side Shrewsbury Town.
The 24 year old striker has impressed during his recent stint training with the lads and signs in time to be included in today’s Edinburgh Derby squad.
Born in Cork, Dinanga joined his home city’s League of Ireland side in 2019, making his senior debut a year later.
A move to England saw Ricardo sign for Coventry City where he was a regular member of the Sky Blues’ under-23 team and also had loan spells with Hereford and Nuneaton Borough.
The bulk of our new recruit’s exploits have been whilst at AFC Telford United where he’s found the net 16 times in 60 games.
In January 2025, Dinanga joined Shrewsbury Town on a two-and-a-half-year deal.
On making the move North, Ricardo said, “I’m really looking forward to joining Spartans and getting started with the team. I’m excited for the opportunity and can’t wait to get going.”
Spartans Chairman Craig Graham added, “We are delighted that Ricardo has decided to come to us on loan. He trained with us last week and looked sharp. He has a great pedigree and we are sure he will be an exciting player for our supporters to watch.”
