The Spartans make the 260-mile round trip to Stranraer on Saturday as Douglas Samuel’s side get back to SPFL 2 duty after last weekend’s derby day cup success against Hibernian B.
Mark Stowe continued his impressive form scoring his ninth goal of the season during the 5-1 win against the young Easter Road side, equalling his total for last season in just ten appearances.
Meanwhile, at the other end, Captain Kevin Waugh remains at the heart of a Spartans defence that goes into the clash as the tightest ship across the table so far, conceded just four goals in the five games played to date.
Whilst Stranraer may be searching for their first league win of the campaign, our host’s home form in both Premier Sports and KDM Evolution Trophy competitions has impressed and as the tourists experienced last season, it will be a competitive encounter come 3pm on Saturday.
Set to make the journey down to Dumfries and Galloway will be returnee signing Marc McNulty who re-signed for the club last week following his return from playing in Australia.
McNulty rejoins the side as they look to maintain momentum built around the six match unbeaten run.
Kick-off is 3pm. Live updates via the Spartans Twitter feed.
