Les Atkinson leads his Under 20s side into their 11th Development League campaign this season and first up is an adventure into the relatively unknown with a trip to one of the new entrants for 2026-27, Gala Fairydean Rovers on Friday August 7th.
The following Friday unfortunately leaves Spartans idle following the late withdrawal of Kelty Hearts from the league however August continues with a trip to Bonnyrigg Rose before we wrap up a busy opening month when Linlithgow Rose head to Pilton.
Sat-Navs will be familiar with FK postcodes across the season with East Stirlingshire and Dunipace joining the party, along with well-kent faces at Stirling Albion and Stirling University.
A North Edinburgh derby promises to whet the whistle in early October for the first time since 2022 with a home fixture against near neighbours Civil Service Strollers.
The 28 game league campaign – the largest since 2021-22 – comes to a conclusion on May 14th when Spartans hosts Tranent who return to the competition after a season out.
