Also moving on are Academy Graduates Chris Inglis, Ben Lamont & Jake Cunningham. Both Chris & Ben had successful seasons out on loan at East Stirlingshire last season and have signed for the Shire on a permanent basis. Chris was at the heart of the Shire defence that notched up seven clean sheets and he popped up to score 2 at the other end. Ben was Shire’s joint-top goalscorer managing 9 goals and 2 assists in 21 appearances.
Jake was last season’s Under 20s League and Combined Challenge Cup winning skipper, leading the side from the front and scoring 10 goals in the process, taking his total to 15 during his three seasons with the team. He made three Senior XI appearances during that time.
We would like to offer our sincere thanks to the players leaving the club for their energy, efforts and commitment during their time at The Spartans and wish them well for their respective futures.
