The Spartans will play three pre-season friendlies – all at the Vanloq Community Stadium – in the run up to their Premier Sports Cup campaign.
First up sees Scott Brown bring his Honest Men of Ayr United to North Edinburgh on Tuesday July 1st. The Championship side featured in the Premiership Play-offs last season and will undoubtedly offer a useful opening outing where supporters of both clubs will likely get the opportunity to see their respective club’s signings in the flesh for the first time.
Next up sees Clydebank head to town on Saturday 5th July. The Bankies visit the Vanloq Community Stadium on the back of securing promotion to the Lowland League following their recent play-off success over Musselburgh Athletic. The sides last met on Scottish Cup duty in the 2022/23 season. Spartans having to come from behind to register a 1-3 win at Holm Park.
Our short pre-season feast finishes up with old friends Heart of Midlothian returning to the scene of that incredible Scottish Cup tie from two seasons ago, where James Craigen’s equaliser stunned, well, everyone inside the ground before the Jam Tarts squeezed in a late winner in front of the BBC Scotland cameras.

Prices per game are £12 Adult, £6 Concession (16-18 and over 65) and Under 16 free. Tickets can be bought in advance on Fanbase or Card/Cash at the turnstiles.
