The Spartans make the 360-mile midweek journey on Tuesday night for the re-arranged SPFL 2 fixture against Elgin City at Borough Briggs.
It’s a game that has many permutations and predictions as the league table neighbours go head-to-head just eleven days before they meet again in North Edinburgh.
Douglas Samuel’s charges make the trip on the back of a four-match unbeaten run, picking up a brace of wins and draws along the way. Meanwhile, Allan McHale’s Elgin will be looking to end their unwanted five match losing streak and prevent Spartans from joining them on 40 points in joint fourth place as the final round of fixtures well and truly kicks in.
