The Home of Spartans FC

Our home ground, The Vanloq Community Stadium, is located on Pilton Drive in north Edinburgh and is part of the Spartans Community Foundation. This modern facility includes a fully enclosed stadium that meets SFA and SFL standards, featuring an artificial pitch, floodlights, seating for 504 spectators, and an overall capacity of 3,000.

Alongside the main pitch, we have another full-size, floodlit artificial pitch. Inside, The Vanloq Community Stadium boasts six changing rooms, a club room, a committee room, and a physio room. For the comfort of our fans, we also provide a PA system and a bar, making match days a vibrant and welcoming experience.

The Vanloq Community Stadium

Visiting The Vanloq Community Stadium for the first time, here’s a handy guide.

The Vanloq Community Stadium Address

The Spartans play their home games at The Vanloq Community Stadium, 94 Pilton Drive, Edinburgh EH5 2HF.

Getting to the Ground

Travelling to Ainslie Park is relatively straightforward. We are based in the North of Edinburgh and well served by public transport.

Lothian Buses services number 21 and 27 head along Ferry Road and you should get off the bus outside / opposite Morrison’s Supermarket, which is at the Crewe Toll end of the road.

You can also use the numbers 19, 22, 24, 29, 37. These all make their way to Crewe Toll – just past the Western General Hospital and before the Village Hotel.

It is a 5 minute walk from Crewe Toll along Ferry Road, turning left onto Pilton Drive once you pass Morrison’s.

For more information on these bus route and timetables please visit www.lothianbuses.com

For fans travelling by train, Waverley Station or Haymarket are your two choices.

Car Parking
Car Parking space at Ainslie Park is highly unlikely as it will be very busy on match day. Please do park responsibly and safely as both the football club and the neighbouring Leisure Centre will have many children enjoying themselves at both venues.

Local on street parking will be available (please park responsibly).

Entry to The Vanloq Community Stadium and Seating

Turnstiles will open at 2.00pm. The four turnstiles at the Pilton Drive entrance will be used for all supporters.

Whilst there will be no strict segregation in operation, opposition fans are encouraged to use the North section of the Main Stand and the North end terracing.

The Newtown Roofing and Building Stand is our Family Stand and will house our young supporters who will be there to make plenty of noise with their singing and accompanying drums too!

Toilets

Toilet facilities are situated behind the main stand and in other designated areas.

Spartans Merchandise and Programmes

Our shop beside the turnstiles will be open pre-match.

Match Programmes will be on sale priced £3. Half Time Raffle £1 a ticket.

Food and Drink
Our catering huts will be open on match days offering a full range of hot and cold drinks along with a feast of savoury snacks including our legendary pies and bridies.
What's Not Allowed

No flares, no pyros. Regrettably, even with those pleading sad eyes, no dogs are allowed inside the Foundation grounds, unless of course, they are a service dog.
