The Spartans FC are deeply saddened to announce the death of Mary Swan.
Mary married Ronnie Swan in 1958 and whilst we know that Ronnie was ‘Mr Spartans’ for almost 40 years, he most certainly couldn’t have done all he did without Mary at his side, including, amongst many other things, washing the manky team strips for most of those years!
In a life dedicated to the Spartans, the latter years saw Mary support Ronnie through his battle with Alzheimer’s.
Our thoughts are with Valerie and Graeme and the extended Swan family.
Mary’s funeral is on Thursday 13th November at 12.30 in the Pentland Chapel, Mortonhall Crematorium.
