The draw for this season’s KDM Evolution Trophy – aka The Challenge Cup – was made at lunchtime today and we have been drawn against Cove Rangers (A), Peterhead (H), Hibernian B (H), Dundee United B (H), Montrose (A) and finally, Aberdeen B (H).
The revamped format mirrors the set-up introduced for the European tournaments last season, with the first stage a league consisting of thirty teams from Leagues One and Two, and ten Premiership B sides.
Each plays six matches with the top twenty-two moving on to the knockout phase, joining those from the Championship.
